Cubs from 1st Uxbridge took to the slopes on real snow... toboganning down the slopes at Snozone - Milton Keynes, toboagganing down the slopes and sledging round each other...
The Saturday started bright and early with the leaders then the cubs arriving at the headquarters, and setting up ready for the sleepover... Once everyone arrived, we piled into the minibus and headed up the motorway, stopping at Willen Lake for an outdoor play, picnic lunch and the chance to let off some steam... After lunch, we went on to the SnoZone and had our toboganning time.... strangely enough the cubs were better at it than the leaders... After the snozone, we headed down to Royal Air Force Museum at Henley, where we found out about the RAF's record in flying... and why they continue to dominate the skies today: After our visit, we returned to the hut and had pizza delivered: Following that we all watched a film, and then retired for the night... Sunday On the Sunday, after a hearty breakfast cooked by Colin, we went by minibus to Coral Reef swimming pool in Bracknell which provided its usual excellent selection of slides, and the weather was good enough that we were able to make use of the outdoor pool... After a quick lunch, we rushed back to Uxbridge in order to attend the district 'Renewal of Promise' at Brunel University. We returned to the hut with some very tired cubs; who had definately had a lot of fun.
