Cub Scouts

Welcome

1st Uxbridge Cubs is proud to be an active, fun pack. We cater for both boys and girls from the age of 8 till they go up to Scouts at around 10½.

We meet weekly during school termtime and often during the summer holidays as well.

Using the scouting method of working in sixes (small teams), we encourage the Young People to develop themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually as well as having a good time.

Christmas Sleepover 2004 E-mail
Saturday, 04 December 2004 00:00

Our christmas sleepover started early on Saturday the 4th December, with all the cubs assembling at the hut around 8:30 am...

After setting up the hut ready for the sleepover, we soon departed into Central London via tube to visit the London Dungeons which we explored, a scary and exciting experience for all....

After the Dungeons we visited the hospital to go to McDonalds for lunch, and then to the Science museum to experience all their exhibits, including the metal pole warning "DO NOT TOUCH" which gave all the cubs a nice electric shock....

After a short tube ride back to Uxbridge, we had our Christmas dinner, which was kindly cooked for us by one of the cub parents. After much turkey, christmas pudding, crackers etc we were well and truly stuffed and sat down to watch Shrek 2!

On the Sunday morning, after a little sleep, we visit Bracknell's Corel Reef for a bit of health exercise, before having another lunch at a Harvester.

Once again a good weekend. One of the cubs sums it up beautifally:

the best day of my life
